What boggles my mind is how close minded and ignorant people can be.
I do not understand it. People are treated poorly due to things they can't control. Whether it's skin color, disability, or a condition like this community, short stature.

I remember I met a man who was fun to talk to, quick witted and funny. I talked to the guy for a good 20 minutes. We shook hands after the conversation and were going out separate ways
I hear behind me a couple of obnoxious people yelling, "Dwarf!" and "You gonna sing and dance for us!"
These rude people started busted out laughing while the guy I just talked to no longer had a smile on his face.
I walked up to the A-holes and told them "Be better humans and treat those you don't know with respect"
They laughed and called me a few obscenities and left.
The man watching this gave me a nod of respect and a smile crept back on his face.
I hope what I did inspired others to do the right thing and for this man to know I valued our time together for who he is, not what he looks like.
